Amidst the Homecoming activities this October, the Ole Miss Alumni Association announced its 2009-2010 officers. Charles Clark of Birmingham, Ala., was named president, a one-year term that changes each homecoming.
Clark, who earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from the University of Mississippi in 1972, is a managing member at Clark Capital, LLC in Birmingham, Ala.
“I am both honored and humbled to serve as your new president,” Clark said. “With so many great things happening in all areas at Ole Miss, I cannot think of a more exciting time to be granted this privilege.”
While at Ole Miss, Clark served as both the president of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and the president of the business school student body.
“Charles Clark and his wife, Ginger, will be great leaders for our university,” said Alumni Association Immediate Past President Rose Jackson Flenorl. “Charles has worked for many years supporting Ole Miss. He will take our association to new heights.”
In addition to serving as Alumni Association President, Clark serves on the professional advisory board for the School of Accountancy.
William T. May was elected the association’s president-elect. May is an attorney and partner with Bourdeaux and Jones, in Meridian. Richard Noble of Indianola was elected vice president. Athletics committee members include Sam Lane of Jackson and Karen Lee of Greenville.
