The Ole Miss Alumni Association announced its officers for 2013-14 during Homecoming festivities on campus.

Jimmy Brown (BBA 70) of Grenada was named president, a one-year term that changes each Homecoming. Brown oversees banking operations in North Mississippi for Regions Financial Corporation.

He has served 38 years with Regions, a top bank holding company headquartered in Birmingham. Prior to assuming his current duties in 1995, Brown was regional executive for North Mississippi. After joining Regions in 1975, he served as community bank president and commercial lender.

Brown serves on the Rust College Board of Trustees, the Boy Scouts of America Chickasaw Council Executive Committee and has previously served on the Mississippi Bankers Association Executive Committee. He and his wife, Susan (BA 71), reside in Grenada. They have two children, Lee (BBA 95) and Natalie (BBA 02), and four grandchildren.

“My wife, Susan, and I are so excited to lead the Alumni Association,” Brown said. “It is one of the best in the country and we are honored to carry on the great tradition set by the previous presidents.”

Outgoing Alumni Association President Larry Bryan (BBA 74) of Memphis said his term as president was rewarding. “I have known for a long time that we have something special at Ole Miss, but my year as president of the Ole Miss Alumni Association made this knowledge clearer to me than ever before,” Bryan said. “It has been a privilege to be in this position and to get to know so many fellow Ole Miss alumni and friends.”

Trentice Imbler (BS 78) of Tupelo was elected president-elect. Imbler is a veteran State Farm Insurance agent, having served for more than 31 years. Eddie Maloney (BBA 72) of Jackson, president of Cowboy Maloney’s Electronic City, was elected vice president.

Athletics Committee members include Kimsey Cooper (BSPh 94) of Carthage and Chip Crunk (BBA 87) of Brentwood, Tenn. Cooper, a former Miss Ole Miss, currently serves as district pharmacy supervisor for CVS Pharmacy, overseeing pharmacy operations in Mississippi. Crunk serves as president and chief operating officer of the RJ Young Company in Nashville.

Ole Miss Alumni Association Executive Director Tim Walsh (BPA 83, MEd 91) serves as treasurer.
