LOU Club Holds Kickoff Event The Lafayette-Oxford-University (LOU) Club held its first meeting on June 15th after approximately a 6 year dormancy. With one of the largest population bases of Ole Miss Alumni, the LOU club meeting, held at Proud Larry's in Oxford, brought in approximately 250 Rebels. Club members were joined by Chancellor Khayat, Vice-Chancellor Gloria Kellum, and Asst. Athletic Director Derek Horne, among others.   A short message was delivered by club president Jay Carmean regarding the club's intent to raise a local scholarship endowment. Chancellor Khayat followed with a few words before returning with his guitar to join several members of The Taylor Grocery Band with whom he played several local favorite tunes.   While the LOU Ole Miss club feels variation is needed in its club activities, several ideas for scholarship fundraisers are already being discussed.   Anyone in the Oxford/Lafayette County area interested in actively participating on a planning committee for local events, please email Jay Carmean at jay@tannehillcarmean.com
