Jim Urbanek
Assistant Director for Communications
Jim joined the Alumni staff in August 2002 as Assistant Director for Communications and editor of the Ole Miss Alumni Review, the Association’s quarterly magazine. Prior to returning home to Ole Miss, he worked in Memphis and in Dallas for Vance Publishing Corporation.
Jim is responsible for or involved in all Alumni publications and print communications efforts in addition to providing content for and helping manage the Association’s Web site.
An Oxford native, both of his parents are Ole Miss graduates and his dad, Jim Sr., was a two-time All-American defensive tackle for the Rebels.
Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ole Miss and is married to the former Amanda McMillan (BPA '98, JD '01) of Oxford. They have two children, Kaitlyn and Evan.
