Tom Speed
Publications Editor/Advertising Director
Tom joined the Alumni Affairs office in July 2008 as Publications Editor. In addition to serving as Advertising Director and Associate Editor for the Ole Miss Alumni Review magazine, Tom works on the Rebel Insider e-newsletter and other Alumni communications.
Prior to joining the Alumni team, Tom was the co-founder and publisher of Honest Tune Magazine, a nationally distributed music magazine. He’d previously helmed the Clarke County Tribune newspaper in Quitman.
Before returning to Oxford in 2001, he worked in the advertising industry in New Orleans. As a freelance writer, Tom's work has appeared in more than a dozen publications.
He holds two degrees from Ole Miss, a Bachelor of Arts in English & Psychology (1991) and a Masters of Business Administration (2003).
Tom and his wife Elizabeth live in Oxford with their son Jack and a multitude of four-legged friends. Tom is an amateur ukulelist. His favorite food is peanut butter.
