Emily Briggs
Executive Assistant
Emily Briggs joined the Alumni staff in June 2000 as administrative secretary. She moved to the Equal Opportunity office on campus in 2003, but returned to Alumni Affairs in 2004. She was promoted to Executive Assistant in January 2009.
Her duties include assisting the Executive Director, organizing Alumni Association board meetings, maintaining the department’s personnel records, processing payroll, providing information on Alumni travel programs and planning events such as various Homecoming activities and the Homecoming Awards Day Ceremony.
Emily is working towards her bachelor’s degree in sociology. She also serves as an assistant Girl Scout troop leader. Emily lives in her hometown of New Albany with her husband, Warren, and their three children, Sasha, Katie, and Aurora. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends and watching Ole Miss football.
