Alumni Assistant and Club Coordinator
Sovent Taylor joined the Alumni Association in February 2009 as Alumni Assistant and Club Coordinator. His responsibilities include organizing more than 50 club meetings and 15 academic luncheons every year.
Sovent received a B.B.A in Marketing and a B.A. in Psychology in 2003. He also received his M.A. in Higher Education in 2006 — all from Ole Miss. Sovent previously worked for the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Services as a Regional Admissions Counselor. While there, he recruited many areas including Missouri, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee and Louisiana. He also recruited various areas within the State of Mississippi.
Originally from Clarksdale, Sovent has resided in Oxford since finishing his masters degree in 2006. He is married to the former Kaleshia Brown and they have a son Sovient II. They enjoy spending time with their son, watching movies and attending Ole Miss sporting events. They also love spending time with their extended family and friends.
